My Mission Statement

I take great pride in teaching people about financial literacy to improve my community one family at a time and not just about the home buying process. I
help adults learn to manage their personal finances. Strategies include incorporating personal finance education through a series of live instructional
programs in a group setting, at local public libraries.  As a member of the NJ Coalition for Financial Education and Jump$tart my secondary purpose is to
assist in the evaluation and creation of curriculum for teaching financial literacy to young adults; develop, disseminate, and encourage the use of standards
for grades K-12; and promote the teaching of personal finance.

Financial literacy is a broad term that has multiple meanings, depending on an individual’s situation.  It may mean learning how to create and manage a
household budget, learning how to invest money for retirement, or participating in one-on-one coaching and counseling to determine how to buy a home or
start a business.  Financial education, just like reading and writing, affects the well being of every individual and is necessary in order to gain the skills to
take control of their personal finances.  It also affects the economic and social well being of every community and, ultimately, the overall strength of the
state and nation’s economy.

As we work to promote access to the financial education tools that can help all Americans make wiser choices in all areas of personal financial
management, with a special emphasis on saving, credit management, home ownership and retirement planning; we hope to change the economic lives of
our neighbors as well as our own.
